Wednesday 23rd Feb / 6.30 – 8pm
at Sands End Arts & Community Centre Peterborough Rd, SW6 3EZ
WHAT
These sessions aim to be:
- empowering, not catastrophising
- enjoyable, generous and accessible
- focused on practical action and raising people’s quality of life
- leading to the creation of a much stronger, more connected and caring community
WHY
The “Climate Change Hub” or monthly community meeting will bring people together to learn and act on the climate emergency.
The overall aim of the Climate Change Hub is to inspire, educate and enable the local community to respond creatively to the climate and ecological crisis.
With a combination of expert talks and small group discussions, the sessions will empower us all with the knowledge to act, enabling individuals, families, groups and organisations to:
- make more sustainable choices and reduce their carbon footprints
- protect and reconnect to nature
- live in more regenerative and caring ways
This will help our community be more resilient, prepared for and able to adapt to the changes that are occurring now and will continue to occur in the coming years.
There will be light refreshments provided. Please feel free to bring any snacks and drinks to share with the group.
